Sonnedix Closes 86MW Solar PV Power Plant in South Africa Government Tender
On December 11, 2014, a consortium led by Sonnedix closed all main project contracts for a solar photovoltaic power project in the Northern Cape of South Africa with a total generation capacity of 86MW, including, financing facilities agreements with Nedbank and Standard Bank, engineering procurement and construction (EPC) arrangements with Juwi Renewable Energies (Pty) Ltd, and a power purchase agreement with Eskom. Sonnedix undertook this project with Mulilo as a minority partner. The commencement of construction is scheduled for the first quarter of 2015. -

Canadian Solar Completes Sale of 10MW Solar Power Plants to RET Capital
Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., completed the sale of two 10MW AC solar power plants, DiscoveryLight and FotoLight, to Renewable Energy Trust Ontario Holdings, INC/ULC (RET). These two plants use Canadian Solar's CS6X-305P modules. -

Hanwha SolarOne to Supply 80 MW in Chile
Hanwha SolarOne Co., Ltd. announced it has signed a deal with a leading photovoltaic (PV) developer for the supply of 80MW of solar PV modules to a project in the Antofagasta Region, Chile. The solar installations will be powered by Hanwha SolarOne's new polycrystalline module generation, the HSL S Series. -

Masdar Begins Delivery of Four New Solar Projects in Pacific Island Countries
Masdar today announced the construction kick-off for four new solar-power projects in the Pacific island countries of Kiribati, Fiji, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. Financed under the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development's US$50 million UAE-Pacific Partnership Fund, the solar projects will collectively deliver 1.8MW of clean energy and contribute to fuel savings worth US$2 million per year. Completion of the projects is expected by the second half of 2015. -

SPI Solar Enters into Settlement and Mutual Release with LDK Solar
Solar Power, Inc. today announced that it has entered into a Settlement and Mutual Release with LDK Solar International Company Limited, pursuant to which LDK HK agreed to release and discharge SPI from all actions, claims, demands, damages, obligations, liabilities, controversies and executions arising out of SPI's payables to LDK HK and its subsidiaries, in exchange for an aggregate settlement amount of $11,000,000 (the "settlement arrangement"). -

Enel Green Power Completes Total 136MW PV Projects in Chile
Enel Green Power has completed two new photovoltaic plants in Chile, Lalackama and Chañares, that are now linked to the grid and the company has brought the final 4MW of Diego de Almagro online. The solar parks, located in the regions of Antofagasta and Atacama, with an overall installed capacity of 136MW, required a total investment of some 240 million US dollars. -

Canadian Solar Sells Liskeard 1 Solar Power Plant to TransCanada
Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., has closed the sale of the Liskeard 1 solar power facility, totaling 10MW AC to TransCanada Corporation. The Liskeard 1 project, located in New Liskeard, Ontario, uses Canadian Solar's MaxPower CS6X-P modules and is valued at approximately C$60 million ($52 million). -
