Swedish Energy Agency Finances NLAB Solar's Factory
NLAB Solar has been granted a 60 MSEK loan by the Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten) to develop and demonstrate the industrial production of its new solar cell technology. SunPower to Supply Toshiba with 20.1% Efficiency Solar Panel in Japan
On Dec. 4, 2012, SunPower Corporation announced that it will supply Toshiba with its new solar panel beginning in December. SunPower's new E20/250NE solar panel features a 20.1 percent efficiency rating delivering 250 watts per 72-cell module, and will be marketed exclusively by Toshiba in the Japanese homes segment. The module features the all-back contact Maxeon™ solar cell designed and manufactured by SunPower Corporation. -

Chevron Energy Solutions Completes 1MW Solar System in City of Hanford
City of Hanford and Chevron Energy Solutions today announced completion of a transformative solar program expected to reduce energy costs at the city's wastewater treatment plant and save more than $7 million over the program's life. The installation uses a one-megawatt ground-mounted single-axis solar tracking system, which automatically positions solar panels towards the sun.
