    Solar Frontier and Yano Industry Connect 3.3MW of Power to the Western Japan Grid

    March 21, 2013 – Solar Frontier K.K. and Yano Industry Co., Ltd. have completed and connected to the grid two megawatt-scale solar power plants in Kunitomi, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, totaling 3.3MW of power. Utilizing Solar Frontier's CIS thin-film modules, Solar Frontier will operate the 2.2MW plant and Yano Industry will operate the 1.1MW plant.

    Suntech Announces Petition of Insolvency and Restructuring of Its Subsidiary Wuxi Suntech Power

    March 20, 2013 - Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. today announced that on March 18, 2013, a group of eight Chinese banks filed a petition for insolvency and restructuring of its Chinese subsidiary Wuxi Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. ("Wuxi Suntech") in the Wuxi Municipal Intermediate People's Court in Jiangsu Province, China. Wuxi Suntech today notified the Court that it will not file an objection against the petition. The Company expects that the Court will decide whether or not to accept the petition in the next few days.

    S.A.G. Solarstrom Receives Another €40m Financing for Project Pipeline

    March 18, 2013. S.A.G. Solarstrom AG today received a financing commitment from the Deutsche Bank Group for €40 million. Following the project financing framework in the amount of €65 million granted in 2012 as a bridging loan for projects, which had been installed chiefly in the second half of 2012, the Deutsche Bank Group has thus now once again provided S.A.G. Solarstrom AG with a financing framework for various planned projects that are to be implemented in 2013 and 2014 in Germany. Due to the drop in system prices on the market, projects of a comparable size as last year can be implemented with this project planning framework.

    Martifer Solar Completes Two PV Projects in Spain Totaling 4.26MWp

    March 19, 2013 - Martifer Solar has just concluded two photovoltaic projects in Spain, in a total of 4.26MWp. The company was responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of the projects, a photovoltaic park of 3.8MWp in Lorca, Murcia, and a rooftop installation of 460kWp in Toledo, being in charge, from now on, of the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services of both installations.
