SunPower, AE-AMD Complete 33MW Solar Projects in South Africa
June 2, 2014 - SunPower Corp. and AE-AMD Renewable Energy as well as its partners have completed two South African ground-mounted solar projects and are now feeding 33MW into the grid. Both projects, which were constructed by SunPower, are located near Douglas, South Africa in the Northern Cape Province.

Sofos Completes 1.6MW PV Project in Jamaica
June 2, 2014 - Jamaica's hotel, the Grand Palladium, Hanover, has been outfitted with a solar plant. The hotel expects to save over J$80 million in energy cost per year from the installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant by local manufacturer, Sofos Jamaica. The plant was unveiled at the 1,000-room resort last Friday.

REC Solar ASA Received First Installment for the Sale of Solar Roof-top Projects in Italy
May 30, 2014 - REC Solar ASA's wholly owned subsidiary, REC Systems Italy S.R.L. in liquidation, entered during April 2014 into sale and purchase agreements ("SPA") for the sale of its seven solar roof-top projects in Piedmont, Italy. The roof-top portfolio comprises in total 4.5MW. The SPA is subject to confidentiality obligations and closing conditions.

May 27, 2014 - Martifer Solar has entered into a strategic partnership with Citelum. The companies will work together to provide the municipality of Izamal with clean energy through the combined power of solar photovoltaic energy and LED lighting technology. The project, named Girasol, will be located in Izamal, a municipality within the state of Yucatán, Mexico.

SMA Solar Technology AG and Danfoss A/S Sign Cooperation Agreement
May 28, 2014 - SMA Solar Technology AG and Danfoss A/S signed a contract today to enter into a close strategic partnership. With this agreement, the two leading system technology specialists will start to further boost their competitiveness. The goal is to sustainably strengthen their cost positions through economies of scale and through joint development initiatives. According to the plans announced in February, Danfoss will acquire 20% of SMA's outstanding shares and sell its entire solar inverter business to SMA. The necessary approval by the antitrust authorities has already been granted.
