    Nippon Paper Industries to Undertake 21MW Solar Project in Tokushima

    May 14, 2013 - Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. will launch Shikoku's largest mega-solar project (capacity of approximately 21 megawatts) in collaboration with Mitsubishi Corporation on part of the land (approximately 250,000 m2) owned by Nippon Paper Industries in Komatsushima-shi, Tokushima Prefecture. The construction of the facilities will commence this autumn. The electricity to be generated will be sold to Shikoku Electric Power Co., Inc. from the latter half of 2014 under Japan's feed-in tariff system.

    aleo solar AG Reports Drop in Revenue in the First Quarter of 2013

    14 May 2013. aleo solar AG today announced that it generated revenue of EUR 31.1 million in the first three months of 2013. This means that aleo solar's revenue decreased by 58.3% compared to the first quarter of 2012 (EUR 74.6 million). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) came in at EUR –16.3 million (EUR –8.2 million), and the EBIT margin was –52.4 percent (–11.0 percent). Earnings per share amounted to EUR –1.35 (EUR –0.63).

    May. 10, 2013 - Spire Corporation today reported revenues from continuing operations for the first-quarter ended March 31, 2013 of $3.2 million, a 57% decrease from $7.5 million for the same quarter of 2012 primarily due to a decrease in solar equipment volume.
