First Solar Announces First Quarter 2017 Financial Results
First Solar, Inc. announced financial results for the first quarter of 2017. Net sales for the first quarter were $892 million, an increase of $561 million from the prior quarter primarily due to the sale of the Moapa project, partially offset by lower third-party module sales. -

NEXTracker Delivers Tracker to 750MW Solar Power Plant in Western Hemisphere
NEXTracker™ announced today it has started supplying its single-axis trackers to solar power plant in the Western Hemisphere. This grid-connected project of over 750MW will deliver energy to the Northern Mexico region under a long-term contract. Scheduled to enter commercial operation by mid-2018, NEXTracker has shipped over 200MW to the project site to date. -

Sunnova Closes on Record-Setting Funding with Credit Suisse
Sunnova Energy Corporation announced today the closing of another round of funding that includes an industry record-setting private placement by its subsidiary, Helios Issuer, LLC, of approximately $255 million aggregate principal amount of asset-backed notes. Credit Suisse acted as the sole structuring agent and sole bookrunner. The deal also includes two warehouse credit facilities in an aggregate principal amount of $360 million. Combined, this represents a $615 million round of funding. This financing round represents Sunnova's first asset-backed notes securitization. -

Amtech Announces Order for Bi-facial N-type Technology Turnkey Line
Amtech Systems, Inc. today announced its solar subsidiary, Tempress Systems, received a follow-on order for the second phase of a multi‑phase 1GW project. This turnkey order for the second phase is similar in size and includes Tempress' high-throughput PECVD and diffusion platforms. The first and second phases of this China project are designed to manufacture n-type bi-facial solar cells and modules at an attractive cost per watt. This repeat order is expected to ship within the next twelve months. Amtech's backlog as of April 25, 2017 is approximately $125 million compared to the December 31, 2016 backlog of $52 million. -
