Grenergy Renovables to Build 27MW of PV Plants in Chile

Grenergy Renovables has requested environmental permits to install 27MW in photovoltaic (PV) parks in Chile's O'Higgins and Santiago regions.

The company has presented three 9MW projects since last week through local subsidiaries GR Araucaria SpA, GR Canelo SpA and GR Chaquihue SpA. The plants, named La Esperanza, Marchigue and Santa Rosa, involve aggregate investments of USD 54 million (EUR 48.3m) and will be installed in the second half of 2016, subject to obtaining the permits.

The first two projects are located in Marchigue, O'Higgins, while Santa Rosa, which was announced on August 18, will be developed in San Pedro, Melipilla province.
