Vikram Solar is looking to expand their upstream footprint by getting into solar cell production as well, the company announced on November 27th, 2014.
Vikram Solar is revealing its current expansion plans. Besides their plans to expand their module production capacity to 350MW cumulative by Q2, 2015 and 600MW cumulative by Q4, 2015, it is currently evaluating several options including joint venture agreements with leading global solar cell players to set up a 250MW cell manufacturing plant by Q1, 2016 to cater to the ever increasing demand for cells made in India.
