2013-06-21 The Schmid Group strengthens its Eurasia business and announces at Intersolar Europe the sales of three module lines to Turkey. The semiautomatic lines with a total of 150MWp production capacity will be delivered in the second half of 2013.
Günter Bauer, Vice President of Schmid's module business unit, predicts business success for Turkish module manufacturers: "They benefit from an attractive local market and the easy access to Middle Eastern and South-Western Asian markets. Furthermore with the imposition of anti-dumping duties on Chinese modules, their market position in Europe is improving".
For fast ramp-up of new module lines at the customer's site, Schmid certifies the production steps, materials and modules already in its own technology center.
Besides module production systems, Schmid also offers consulting for profitable business models and for specific technical applications.
