Alan Bartlett and Sons' 1,456-acre carrot and parsnip farm is now benefiting from the power of the sun for both its produce and its electrical needs after installing a 1.2MW solar PV array to harvest electricity. Clenergy, the solar park solution provider, is proud to contribute the universal mounting system PV-ezRack Trapezoidal for this project.

As farmers, Alan Bartlett and Sons recognize the importance of sustainability and its impact on the environment. As a result, the company decided to invest £1 million into this project. "The installation will achieve material cost savings for the business and at the same time greatly contribute to our carbon footprint reduction ambitions," said Andrew Foster, finance director of Alan Bartlett and Sons.

Trapezoidal was chosen by the EPC company as a fast and economical solution for the large project. "We were very pleased with the technical support and impressed with the speed and ease of installation" said James Hoare, the EPC Technical Director.

PV-ezRack Trapezoidal has been accredited by TüV InterCert. The system is made of anodized aluminum with a EVA waterproofing seal on the bottom complete with self-drilling screws. The system also comes with Clenergy's patented Z-module clips, which allows for rapid installation of PV modules.

Since its launch last June, PV-ezRack Trapezoidal has shown strong growth in the U.K commercial market with projects both large and small such as 107KW project at the North East Business Innovation Center in Sunderland or a 1MW project on a distribution warehouse in Leicester.
