AIKO is pleased to announce its partnership with Futura Group Solar Construction SLR to build Italy's largest agrivoltaic solar plant. Located in Serramanna, Sardinia, this landmark 48 MW project reflects Italy's commitment to sustainable energy and innovative land use practices.

The project will utilize AIKO's advanced Stellar 1N+66 modules, featuring an industry-leading 655W output and exceptional efficiency surpassing 24.2%. Designed for durability and reliability, these third-generation modules exhibit minimal first-year degradation (≤1%) and maintain a low annual degradation rate of ≤0.35% from years 2-30. These features ensure consistent high energy output and long-term operational performance for the plant.

Futura Group, one of Italy's leading renewable energy developers, expressed strong confidence in AIKO's technology and expertise. Francesco Fanti, Head of Engineering at Futura Group, emphasized the key factors behind their decision:
"AIKO's modules provide superior energy generation, thanks to their lower ground cover ratio, which reduces shading and minimizes backtracking losses. Their proven track record as a leading cell manufacturer and the professionalism of their team during contract negotiations made AIKO the ideal partner for this project."

Commitment to Innovation and Sustainability

This groundbreaking agrivoltaic project seamlessly integrates agriculture with renewable energy, achieving optimal land use while supporting Italy's energy transition goals. By deploying AIKO's state-of-the-art modules, the plant is set to deliver maximum energy efficiency and reliability with minimal environmental impact.

"This collaboration represents a pivotal step in advancing both sustainable farming practices and renewable energy adoption," said Beda Juliani Coma, Utility SE & Balkan Regional Director at AIKO. "We are honored to partner with Futura Group on this milestone project."
