Sonnedix has completed the acquisition of two solar PV portfolios, totalling 5.5MW, from BhnLux S.A.R.L. and several individual investors.

The first portfolio – Sonnedix Delph – is comprised of three ground-mounted solar photovoltaic plants and two greenhouse solar photovoltaic plants, located in the Apulia and Sicily regions of Italy, with a total capacity of 4.5MW. The second portfolio – Sonnedix Sunvis – is one solar PV plant of 1MW, located in Piemonte region of Italy. All plants have been in operation since 2010/2012 and they all benefit from the Italian Conto Energia FiT regime.

"We continue to grow our solar platform in Italy, where we began operations back in 2011 and, today, have over 1GW of total controlled capacity, including a development pipeline of over 700MW" – said Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix. "We are proud to be one of the leading solar IPPs in the country, focused on our commitment to sustainable growth, pushing the energy transition forward and helping build a bright future for our communities."

Sonnedix currently operates more than 150 solar PV plants in Italy, totalling 293MW of operational capacity, plus almost 760MW in various stages of development. Sonnedix continues actively seeking further growth opportunities through the acquisition of both operational and development projects, in Italy, and across other OECD markets.

On this transaction, Sonnedix was advised by Legance and Eversheds Sutherland (Legal), EOS and Duff&Phelps REAG (Tech) and RSM Studio Palea Lauri Gerla (Tax).

BhnLux Sarl was advised by Prothea, as exclusive financial advisor, Gitti & Partners (legal) and ICFC (controllers).
