Suntech Power has officially announced a groundbreaking framework agreement with Rodopi, which is poised to make a significant foray into the solar energy landscape in 2023.

This monumental partnership signifies a major expansion of Rodopi's business portfolio, reinforcing its steadfast commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Rodopi initiated its first projects in 2022 and has rapidly garnered acclaim for its efficient implementation and high-quality work in the field of solar energy. Successfully deploying multiple megawatts of photovoltaic power, Rodopi is dedicated to delivering solutions that meet the highest functional standards. Their approach relies on innovative technologies, materials, and a seasoned, motivated team characterized by their unwavering commitment, reliability, and expertise. Under the terms of the agreement, Suntech Power is set to supply Rodopi with a total of 300MW worth of solar modules annually. This strategic collaboration highlights the dynamic developments unfolding within the renewable energy sector, with Suntech Power playing a pivotal role in providing crucial support to facilitate this transition. Mr. Gündogdu, the Business Unit Manager at Rodopi Solar, expressed unwavering confidence in Suntech Power, stating, "We have exclusively selected Suntech Power as our module supplier due to their unmatched professionalism and unwavering support. We entrust Suntech Power wholeheartedly." As Rodopi embarks on this new venture, they do so with the formidable backing of Suntech Power, renowned for its expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence, poised to spearhead innovation in the solar energy sector.

Notably, the yearly agreement encompasses 12 module variants to cater to diverse scenarios, including the ambitious 12MW power station revamp project in Italy. TCO Solar, the project owner, and a specialist in technical and commercial operations for industry-scale photovoltaic power plants across France, Germany, and Italy, seeks an alternative partial (3.4-12MW) or full (12MW) panel replacement due to extensive hail damage in Northern Italy. Their objective is to maximize the utilization of natural renewable energy sources, benefiting both the economy and ecology. In light of these considerations, Rodopi has nominated Suntech as the exclusive supplier of solar modules.

Suntech Power, a prime representative of China's photovoltaic development capabilities worldwide, has consistently prioritized scientific and technological innovation. Components from Suntech Power are already in use in various projects, including Italy and Frankfurt, with models C72Nsh+ and C54Nshkm+, supporting projects scheduled for the current year. The C72Nsh+ module, equipped with N-type 182mm size wafers and TOPCon technology, boasts cell efficiencies exceeding 25.5%. It offers a cell efficiency increase of over 1.5% compared to P-type PERC cells, with power generation surpassing PERC's by 3-4% due to a low-temperature coefficient. Furthermore, it exhibits a remarkable 15% higher bifacial gain and minimal degradation (1% in the first year, 0.4% subsequently), ensuring higher customer revenue. The latest launch of Brand New Efficient Lightweight TOPCon Double-Glass Modules, C54Nshkm+, achieves an impressive efficiency rate of approximately 22.5%, with power output reaching up to 440W and a unit area power output of up to 266W/m². The TOPCon cell technology enhances photovoltaic system power output, reduces Balance of System (BOS) costs, and lowers the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE).

This partnership signifies the convergence of a 22-year-old industry stalwart with a burgeoning entrant in the photovoltaic sector, promising collaborative sparks. Working hand in hand with Rodopi, Suntech Power is committed to advancing technology, delivering quality, and fostering a new sustainable green development paradigm that will illuminate a global green carbon future.
